So, I've already had cricket flour food...I think it was chips of some sort. I wasn't grossed out by the concept or anything, but it just didn't taste very good.
There's a YT channel that my wife loves called Emma Made In Japan in which the titular Emma tries different foods from around the world. One episode has here eating insects like scorpions, centipedes and crickets. As she's crunching i to a giant tropical centipede, she says that it has a chemical taste, like Raid. That's funny for obvious reasons, but the cricket flour food I tried had the same problem: an insecticidal aftertaste over a pasty texture. So, again: not disgusted by it; just didnt like it.
