If PS4 didn't still have TERRIBLE controller I would already pre-order
People hating on this had made up their minds before this unveiling.
This thing kicks WAY more azz than I would have ever imagined.
It's funny because people use the "other stuff" to knock it as a gaming console. Uhh... it's still a gaming console. Getting extras doesn't take away from that.
Guess what? Sony will have the same "extra all in one" crap too. It's part of the evolution. Either keep up, or just quit gaming.
I only use my 360 for games. Yet it has netflix, espn, social media, etc. Doesn't keep me from doing what I do most with it.
Also- b*tching about the most nit-picky things... but complaining about kinect being mandatory?
.... uh... it comes WITH connect, so what's the problem?
That's as silly as you dorks complaining about "ALWAYS ONLINE!??!" when you're connected to Gotitans.com 24hrs a day anyway.
Complaining about mandatory kinect would be as goofy as complaining about wireless remote being mandatory. Who cares? You get it with the console. Stop digging for stupid sh*t to pout about.
If you have some weird sense of loyalty to Sony... that's fine. But it's silly to do this stuff.
Yeah...you're in the minority.
Most people are laughing at Microsoft for that debacle.
Nope, most people it surprised with being better than expected.
They had it on at my work and people were pessimistic about it until they started watching. They actually as a whole pretty much responded with "Sony is in trouble". Could be true... guess we'll wait and see. They'd better come out swinging though.
But, fanboys be fanboys. What can ya' do?
I'm in the minority too then. I'm literally always online when my Xbox is on... even if I'm playing single player.
I don't really like the Kinect having to be on, but I'll deal with it. I don't see the problem.
Ahh that's why Microsoft stocks dropped. They were that impressive.
Lol. It was a disaster. The 10 people you work with doesn't trump the thousands on Kotaku, whirlpool, neogaf and every other site who are laughing.
It's cool if you have a constant connection but if you lose power or your ISP decides to crap itself, or if Live goes down/gets hacked, then you got a brick until it's back up.
It's a pointless annoyance if stuff goes down.
I'm seriously about to just buy one of the multi-platform players for $75 so that I can play all of my SNES and Sega games. Gaming has gone downhill the last eight years. Very little is geared towards me. Everything is either some lame first person shooter with a campaign that lasts seven hours or a sports game(although I LOVE me some MLB The Show).
If they made the PS1 Final Fantasies and all the Metal gear Solids with PS3 graphics I wouldn't need to buy a new system/game for years.
