    The Federals.

    "The Fightin' Feds".

The mascot is a problem. Can't use a patriot... or eagle... or star... probably can't use anything "war-like".

    Maybe a fist?

    You just jealous.

    Capitals
    Nationals
    Federals

    Tis perfect.

Their mascot is Uncle Sam with rolled up sleeves with those giant Hulk-like fists they'll sell at the stores for $49.95 for the kids to wear. Has to be a surplus of them at some Chinese factory somewhere.

You know, I think it's time we give up that self granted nickname. I've never heard anyone outside of Nashvile call it that.

"give up on fetch already. It's not going to happen. "

It's not a "self given" name.

At the time - not all that long ago - Nashville had more higher education institutes than anyplace else. THAT's why it is called that. May still be true.

    Hence, "Athens of the South".

Lol that's not how Chinese restaurants serve duck (at least in America). Peking duck is f**king delicious though.
