This may be a little premature with his first start in 2009 yet to happen, but I cant wait til Sunday to post this. We've seen Vince win Rookie of the Year before after he replaced Collins during a winless start in 2006, so is it safe to anticipate he could be this years Comeback Player of the Year? :wink2::wink2:

Not if he screws up our slot in the draft so we can draft his replacement....

Young said he's going to be the next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl and he's going to be a Hall of Fame quarterback too. If he's going to do those things then surely he can win the Comeback Player of the Year Award.

First he has to actually "Comeback!" So far that hasn't been seen but maybe something will happen this week.

Right now, Alex Smith is the potential comeback player now that he's reclaimed his starting role after a phenomenal second half and we'll see how he does the rest of the season.

    Without a doubt Carson Palmer.

Ricky Williams had quite a good year last year so I don't think he really qualifies.

I think we need to see more than just one good half from Alex Smith before we start throwing his name in the comeback player of the year hat.

Besides, it looks like Cedric Benson has that title pretty well locked down at this point.

Good grief - hilarious. Let's let Vince at least do something - one lousy thing - before we name him messiah...
