With just a week of training camp in the books, I thought it would be interesting to predict the final 53-man roster. Here's my shot... QB: Young, Collins, Smith RB: CJ, Ringer, Blount FB: Hall TE: Scaife, Cook, Stevens WR: Britt, Washington, Gage, Hawkins, D. Williams, Edison, Mariani OL: Roos, Harris, Amano, Scott, Stewart, Kropog, Otto K: Bironas P: Kern LS: Amato DL: T. Brown, Haye, Jones, Hayes, Marks, Ford, Ball, Morgan, Babin LB: Tulloch, Witherspoon, McRath, Allred, Keglar, Thornton, Curran CB: Finnegan, Mouton, McCourty, Verner, Hill S: Fuller, Hope, Griffin, Nickey, R. Johnson Tough to get down to the last three for me. I kept Mariani because of his special teams abilities. Durand might be kept over Otto but he can spend another season on the practice squad. I don't know if the Titans would keep both Ball and Babin. It might depend on how good Morgan is when it comes to final cut day. If they have to keep both, someone like Rolle might end up on the practice squad unless he becomes a special teams beast. Smith as the #3 QB is based more on hope than reality. Simms is the better QB so far but I'm hoping Smith does enough to show he has upside. I think if Thornton is healthy he's in despite his salary. I don't see Fisher with as many options here with McRath out the first four games. I think Allred has looked better than Winborn so far but it's early. I could see Reinfeldt on the wire after the first cuts looking to upgrade depth at CB, especially if Hill if he doesn't get on the field and productive soon. Fisher likes those special team "specialists" who usually are S or LBs so I could see that happening as well. It's early. Lots can change. Injuries will impact this as well.
