MVP - LeBron James Easy pick. Best player in the world, hate on him and the Heat all you want, but there is no doubt he is carrying this team now. Ridiculous numbers. Runner-up - Chris Paul Honorable mention - Kevin Durant (Putting Durant as low as third isn't going to be popular and even though he has the stats on CP3, no one, and i mean no one, is a better floor general than CP3. Defensive Player of the Year - Joakim Noah Noah has been playing like a leader and anchor, holding it down, not only the paint, but he can guard 4 positions. Bulls still one of the best defenses thanks to him. Runner-up - Serge Ibaka Honorable mentions - Andre Iguodala, Tony Allen, Paul George Move Improved Player - James Harden The jump from 6th man to superstar... Runner-up - Paul George Honorable mentions - Jrue Holiday, Omer Asik, Nikola Vucevic, Greivis Vasquez 6th Man of the Year - Kevin Martin Other guys might have a slight edge on the scoring, but the way he came in and had to replace last year's 6th Man of the Year, along with first place Thunder, he's doing just fine. Not to mention he's been a starter his entire career. Runner-up - Jamal Crawford Honorable mentions - J.R. Smith, Ryan Anderson (not sure if he qualifies since he's started a lot of games as well) Rookie of the Year - Damian Lillard Everyone assumed it would be Anthony Davis before the season started, but we're looking at a future superstar in Damian Lillard. Runner-up - Anthony Davis Coach of the Year - Gregg Popovich I'd give it Pop every year. Not only for his x's and o's, but how he handles minutes, his defensive schemes, and you'll never have an ego problem on his team. Runner-up - Tom Thibodeau Honorable mentions: Mark Jackson, Scott Brooks
Lebron will NEVER get an MVP nod from me until he does 2 things: Stops being a joke when it matters most. and Actually leads a team rather than picks one to coat-tail off of. Til then? Nope. Most valuable my azz. Doesn't help that he's the most pampered player in the league. Put Kevin Durant on that squad and they don't even need David Stern to win it all for them.
MVP - LBJ (RU -Durant) DPOY - Noah (RU - Ibaka) ROY - Lillard (RU - A. Davis) COY - Mark Jackson (RU - Thibs) 6th Man - Jamal Crawford (RU - Gasol? Does he count?) MIP - Paul George (RU - Stephen Curry & Grevis Vasquez)
Lol only Deuce thinks Miami is Wade's team. Someone hasn't been paying attention or they would know Wade hasn't been a top 5 player for 2 years now.
The Heat are clearly BronBrons team. I'm a huge hater of LeBron, but you gotta respect his play on the court. Physically unstoppable.
I don't think it's "Wade"s team... unless the game is on the line. Then it's anyone BUT Lebron's team.
Lol keep telling yourself that even though since 06, in situations to either tie or take the lead in the final minute of the 4th quarter or overtime, LeBron has the third highest field goal percentage, right below Rudy Gay and Dirk. And the third most attempted shots, below only Kobe and Durant...and way above Wade. Keep telling us LeBron isn't a MVP 'cuz he doesn't demand to chuck up every shot in the last 2 minutes. By your logic, Magic Johnson wasn't a MVP either. Keeping telling us LeBron is terrible at shooting even though he's statistically a good midrange shooter. Where did you rank LeBron again? Outside of the top 5 was it? LOL Oh, and how are your Lakers doing?
I never understand people who say Lebron can shoot. Actually I do, it's because you read boxscores/watch espn and judge off of that. The only reason he's a statistically good midrange shooter is because people let him shoot from midrange....When lebron loses a step his game is going to fall apart.
How the hell would I determine he's a good shooter from reading his boxscore Lol great DW rebuttal, if you disagree with me, you watch too much sportscenter. Dude, I don't even have cable.
