Pro Football Talk reported that he was noticeably "limping" at his Pro Day, that one scout said he "cost himself millions" with the way he struggled through drills, and that some teams who have had him in for private workouts believe he may need microfracture surgery, if not this year then in the near-future. If I could find the link I'd send it (read it on my phone via Twitter).

Wow, doesn't sound like a miniscus (sp?) any more like was previously reported. I wonder if Watt or Quinn becomes the new #1 DE now?

Bowers is falling like a rock. Pre-combine, he was a projected #1 pick...

Pass on Bowers now... with all this, he's falling out of the top ten without a doubt.

I remember someone did a mock a couple months back with Bowers at #20 or so... may end up being right.

I'm calling that he'll end up with the Lions, as long as Prince Amukmara isn't there... Then I bet Bowers will end up being a beast and every team will hate themselves for passing on him.

Glad I'm not the only one who drew that connection. A healthy Bowers has a similar skill-set to KVB: not especially fast, but holds up at the line and could learn the types of techniques that made KVB a skilled pass-rusher. And because of KVB he has a year to sit and get healthy without having to start on Day 1.

The Lions pick 13th so they have a good chance of getting a great prospect.

Actually a healthy Kerrigan might be preferable to Bowers with knee issues. He was voted defensive player of the year in the big ten by the coaches. No small thing. Some Lions fans are clamoring for JJ watt, . Whoever they can add at DE will be impressive along with Suh and Vanden Bosch.
