The easy answer is two words... Ryan Fitztragic. Mostly it's the fact that Jake needs to play on a team with a great running game and a great defense, and that's exactly what the Texans have. I think Jake will really flourish in an offense that can utilize a ton of play action. You couple that with a defense that can keep the score low so Jake isn't forced to play catch up and you have the formula for a solid QB.

You're still leaving out the part about how Jake can't stay healthy for more than 2 weeks in a row.

 

I think Jake has shown he can't be counted on. He misses time every year. I didn't want to believe it, but its who he is.

 

I don't really care where Jake goes. He's not going to be able to stay healthy and he's not the type of QB who can take over a game.

 

Lets compare their first 6 games, cause why not....

Davis: 135 of 205 passes completed 1520-yards thrown 9 TDs 4 INT's
Brady: 104 of 169 passes completed 1069-yards thrown 7 TD's 4 INT's
Warner: 95 of 133 passes completed 1327-yards thrown 15 TD's 3 INT's

Agreed. I'm just speaking hypothetically and doing so I believe that by being protected by a great running game and defense, Jake would take fewer hits. It's pure speculation but clearly being forced to play "come from behind" football gets Jake hit a ton. I don't think that would happen if he played in Houston.

 

Yeah. Still, I don't see Houston bringing in our garbage two years in a row. They just drafted Savage and traded for Mallett. And they may end up in position to land a QB in the 1st in the draft. I think they'll want to go with youth at the position. Maybe they bring Jake in as a backup but I don't see him being their starter.
