Half way point through the season

The D isn't even close to being the problem. We have one guy with 5 INTs over the span of two games, and how many points have we converted those into? We aren't built like Jacksonville. We have one of the most complete and talented offensive units in the league, yet we can't sustain a drive or put out anything other than an average showing on offense each week. The defense has a major hand in why we have the record that we do.

 

Yes Byard is playing great but one guy does not make the defense. Its still bad as a whole, no pass rush, giving up big plays. Too many times we allow 3rd and long conversions to keep their drives going.

 

We owe a debt of thanks to TY Hilton, for his 2 Long TDs, which beat the Texans, and put them 2 games out, and falling far behind.

We just can't play 60 minutes of steady ball, way too inconsistent, until the last TD drive, where we looked like what we.should be all the time.

Glad we're in first, and hopefully we can beat Cincy, who will be without Green, as he is going to be suspended for those haymakers.he threw.on Ramsey.

So, 6-3 after next week.

Our offensive playcalling will kill us down the stretch against better teams. I don't have a problem with our defense like some, we simply don't have much talent right now.

 

Huh?

 

It hasn't been pretty, but we're in a way better position than at this point last year. I'll certainly take it.

 

EDIT: I didn't think my previous post got through, as the site crashed as I was posting.. Sorry..

We do have to thank TY Hilton for those 2 long TD receptions, that put Houston 2 games back, and fading fast.

And we also have to thank A J Green, for throwing those haymakers on Jalen Ramsey, and will be suspended at least for our game next week.

We HAVE to get more open, and consistent on Offense. The last TD drive, was the.most open our offense looked all season.

The Ravens shouldn't have even be within 14-30 points of us. We came through at the end, but we shouldn't have had to. And I have to wonder what Mtariota was thinking of on that interception. He missed Matthews so bad, but it didn't look like he was throwing it away. I never saw him throw such a terrible pass..

Glad we won, Glad we're in first, but we need a Lot of work..

PS: Glad to see Corey Davis back with 2 catches..We need him BAD.

 

at this point Byard, Lewan and Woodyard deserve to be in the Pro Bowl
