Who Covers Gronk?

    I was reading another interview with shock jock Jalen Ramsey today and he made an interesting point about Rob Gronkowski.

    Ramsey pointed out that he asked members of the Jaguars analytical staff to pull numbers on Gronkowski ahead of the AFC Conference Championship Game, and quickly came to a conclusion.
    "Any time Gronk has been matched up with a corner, he's had a very bad game -- and that corner has had a very good game," Ramsey said.

    This left me curious about two things.

    1: Who covered Gronk in our loss to the Patriots in the AFC Divisional game last season when Gronk had 6 catches for 81 yards and a TD?

    2: Who will cover him this year when we face them in November? Jayon Brown? Logan Ryan? The more stout Leshaun Sims?

    Well we saw what Byard does vs him in the divisional round of the playoffs, so my guess is Vaccaro gets Gronk.

    I specifically rewatched Saints Pats last year just to see what Vaccaro does vs TEs, and he was pretty good. IIRC he only have up 2 catches for about 20 yards (two 1st downs) vs Gronk, forced a coverage sack, and had a interception that was erased by penalty.

    FWIW Vaccaro only played about 60% of the defensive snaps that day but it kept him fresh.

    So sad that a 2nd year CB has the foresight to have guys look into things like this, but the entire 2017 Titans coaching staff didn't have a clue.

    I don't think we have anyone that can cover Gronk tbh. And I like our corners. I think KB gives us our best shot.

    Maybe Malcolm Butler can fair decently against his old teammate

    Butler has trouble covering the 2nd tier receivers.

    He stands no chance against a HoF worthy TE.

    Gronk will destroy Vaccaro or Brown
    We don't have anyone that can cover Gronk and win consistently
    To be fair not many teams do
