    Kelly had an awesome run in 90-91 and was pretty good overall, just doesn’t really hold up against the best of the best. Lack of SB aside, Marino does.

    Brady proved he was the reason they won all those SB. He switched teams, and won it again, with a below average squad. Literally transformed them overnight. So the QB is everything. Brady put the nail in that coffin. Marino should have got it done. He didn't. He just wasn't clutch. Kelly transformed the Bills instantly as well, but never got over the hump. Brady and Montana two best ever. You have to shine in the clutch moments.

    Why do you love Rypien so much. He won one superbowl over Kelly, the one guy who didn't have a clutch bone in him. Marino didn't even make the playoffs. And Elway was hurt. Rypien was pretty much the only guy left that year finishing as the 2nd best QB in the MVP voting

    John elway played 16 games the year rypien was #2 QB in the MVP race.

    Hard to argue Kelly “didn’t have a clutch bone in his body” with 4 straight SB appearances. And for his defense, the Bills were only better than NYG.

    While I’m not going to defend Rypien, he’s an excellently example of how TEAMS make the difference vice just a QB. I don’t think you’re making the statement that rypien is better than Kelly but it did seem in your earlier post you thought Kelly was better than Marino?

    Brady is the GOAT. But that Bucs team was not below average. Evans and Godwin were already budding stars and that defense was really good.
