Absolutely spot on....I watched that myself during a Thursday night game against the Raiders during 99. In the 4th quarter of that game we weren't even trying to fool the Raiders LOL. I was actually a bit inebriated at the time and, since I was sitting behind the Raiders bench that night, started taunting the players ("what do you think they will run next...I think Eddie George right!!") on every play (had a couple of players turn around and stare at me LOL). What a dominating performance that was...

No comparison IMO....CJ had one good season, one great season, then got his contract and really stepped it down. He also really was not that great of a receiver while with us (not saying that EG was great either as a receiver either here). Eddie was by far the better teammate and leader IMO.

I think he has a decent shot at the HOF, although it may not be in his first traunch of eligibility here.

Absolutely. With CJ, it was boom or bust almost every snap. If he ever got a a crease, he would make huge gains, but it only happened once or twice a game. That skewed his ypc, when in reality he was to blame for a lot of 3-and-outs.

Eddie, on the other hand was a workhorse who nearly always generated positive yardage. He didn't get the huge gains of CJ, but he bailed out the offense on a regular basis.

If you look at their stats with Eddie in 9 years and CJ in 10, Eddie still has more total yards. Look at the number of touchdowns. I think that would be enough for most people to decide which one had the better career.

TD is a huge part of the HoF too. I think even 10 more TD and Eddie may have been a finalist or inducted already. The fact that a handful of other RB of the same era actually outran E.G., hurts him the most.
