The one thing I thought was actually sort of exciting from CJ was his TD. Maybe it was just me, but that burst he got when he got the snap was so incredibly reminiscent of the 2K season. He was gone no sooner he had the ball.

Compare his 21-yard run: [ame="http://www.nfl.com/videos/tennessee-titans/09000d5d822f6170/RB-Johnson-21-yd-run"]NFL Videos: RB Johnson, 21-yd, run[/ame]

with his TD run: [ame="http://www.nfl.com/videos/tennessee-titans/09000d5d822f671b/Johnson-finds-the-end-zone"]NFL Videos: Johnson finds the end zone[/ame]

Call me crazy, but he looks like old CJ on that TD run. He was simply going a different speed than everyone else. Blocks or not, THAT CJ was getting that TD cause he was going to beat the entire defense to the edge by a long shot.

The slower more agility-based CJ we're used to seeing this season probably would have been wrapped up by Farrior.

I'm not sure WHY he put the jets on only on that run but I'm really hoping our staff sees that on tape and gets him grabbing the ball and hitting the hole at top speed again. He's clearly capable, he just did it on that TD run.

Even on that 21-yard run, he was juking more than he was REALLY running. He was mostly patiently waiting for blockers. I think maybe coaching ruined CJ's style. I think they're telling him to be more patient and wait for blocks and now he's just hesitant more than anything because of it.

Don't know. Thoughts? I really wish thread starters could delete messages because I know this will degrade to random accusations rather than ACTUAL analysis but let's hope the <10 people who objectively evaluate players on the team catch this. I'd like their opinion.

Can I put stock in every CJ thread? I would be a paper billionaire overnight.

Thanks for the productive comments. lol.

I wish he had as many TDs as posts people make with the thread's topic completely ignored.

Well, we have been seeing plenty of an old CJ, thats for sure.

Really can't judge him too much today going by what else was happening.

My point is that you made this identical post in another thread....why start another thread about it?

I just feel like that TD run he was actually RUNNING, not just dancing or waiting for blocks. I haven't seen CJ hit that speed in a while. He's showing flashes of elusiveness, but that TD was just pure speed.

I know what you are saying. But that was a SHORT run, I will start believing in this guy again when he starts producing.

I realized how stupid it is to post something of discussion value in a thread filled with people making random generalizations and not actually backing anything up with evidence.

It's like hiding a fact in a paragraph of exaggerations. Why would I want it to get buried there? I want to have an actual discussion about whether there is the ABILITY to be the old CJ again or not. Not just "lol he's overpaid, he gets paid like 400k per yard" or "guys he's super good just wait he'll be good we have a bye week then he'll kill the texans."

I want to know REAL thoughts about whether CJ even has the ability anymore and if there were runs other people have seen that give some hope in the idea that CJ can still be that 1.5k+ runner he was in previous years.

Everyone talks about him losing a step. I want to find out if there's any substance to the idea he still HAS a step.
