I thought The Departed was overrated (not bad, but yeah, it was the Academy's lame apology to Scorsese), but DiCaprio played palpable, terrifying anxiety well. I thought he and Wahlberg, and probably Ray Winstone, made that movie good.

It's overrated for those who have seen Infernal Affairs, just replace Chinese actors with White ones and you had the same exact movie.

Still, it was a really good movie, and it was a weak class that year, so I can't really say it didn't deserve Best Picture. Letters from Imo Jima was its only competition and it wasn't even that great of a movie (it was good, just not great).

I've said it before here but check out The Crucible for a DDL (and quite a few others) masterpiece. Plays like a stage performance at times - which suits this movie well. DDL's character progresses from a regular Joe to a man who's soul is full coming apart at the seams by the end.

lol, my dad is still on the hate Leo train. He hasn't seen The Departed or Blood Diamond because he's in it. But he has seen Inception.

I've only seen parts of Romeo and Juliet and it's not my movie, but I appreciate how difficult it must have been to do those lines.

Hey Creeping Cruds, I have a gift for you.

From the Guinea Pig Series (which I hate along with any wannabe snuff or pointless torture film), but this was one was really amusing and entertaining, called "He Never Dies".

A men gets depressed because his girlfriend has dumped him for a friend. He tries to attempt suicide but to no avail, so he decides to scare the guy that stole his girl, by throwing his own guts at him.

All 4 parts are there on the tube.
