If Bud is serious about winning munchak will be fired.
Every aspect of our team is to blame for this loss.
Our defense gave up first downs on almost every single Jacksonville drive. The result was that our offense kept getting the ball deep in our own territory.
The inability of our offensive line to push people off the ball in the red zone. We got blown several times inside our own 10!
And finally our defense not getting a stop that would have given the offense some time and a 21-19 deficit.
This game could have gone either way. Actually both teams pretty much sucked. And we got the loss. I do not think that this is Munch's fault this time. Barring a couple of dumb mistakes we would have won this game.
Out of curiosity; what the hell is up with Chad Chicken and Gabi sporting porn actor 'staches? Is that Jerkuar style?
this is MMs way of doing it. Did the same thing last year and got boatraced at home. Worst game I have ever attended. At least we scored some points vs DaBears this year.
Really looking at MM, RW & MRs body of work there is zero confidence, from me, that they have a clue what they are doing.
I swear some of you read like two words of my posts and skip the rest... I said I'm not blaming CJ for the loss. I blame Palmer and the refs mostly because the defense, other than a couple plays, was fine. 7 ****ing sacks?!?! We were finally bringing the heat and it was working. I would like to blame Gray, but I can't - not for this loss. Palmer and the refs... terrible.
The Giants just came off their bye too and look how they performed. It goes back to coaching and preparation. We lack both.
Munch sucks. This is not new information.
Hire a scrub coach and you get a scrub team. Bud should not be surprised and has no one to blame but himself.
I would have to agree with this statement. After coming off of a big win against Miami and showing signs of life we go into our bye week, then come out and play with no sense of urgency. This falls on coaching. I don't dislike Mike Munchak, but this situation is exactly like the trap game against the Colts last year. You have to learn from your mistakes and do a better job the next time this situation arises.
It seems like he has a checkoff list and every week we have the opportunity to check off something so he considers it improving. Examples: Earlier in the season, we couldn't run the ball effectively. Then slowly we start improving and CJ looks like the running back we expected (check). In this same game against the Texans, it looked like we put together a solid game plan to slow down there rushing attack (check). We haven't been able to get consistent pressure, then we have a game where we get seven sacks (check). By the end of the year, we will play a complete game.
I would have thought at the beginning of the year that the Defense would keep us in games and we would suffer on Offense. Then by mid-season my opinion changed and it was the other way around. We are not consistent, we don't make the adjustments needed to be competitive through an entire game and we don't play with a sense of urgency. This concerns me, but I don't expect things to change and this is sad.
If this team didn't have talent, I wouldn't expect so much from them. But I continue to watch an support because I expect things to change. I guess like Munchak, by the end of the season I will have it figured out.
We do need to move on from Munchak, he just doesn't have enough experience, or any for that matter. He's in over his head.
