Some coaches like weak GMs. That way they can be the GM.

    Tradition in Green Bay...

Does everyone forget how irrelevant that franchise was for 30 years until 1996?

You're nuts if you think the Packers HC job isn't more attractive than ~30 other NFL jobs today. It's a special organization. Steelers are the same.

    They wasn't **** til Brett.

Every franchise is one QB draft pick away from being a "special organization".

What were the Saints for 30 years until Drew?

Not ****, a joke of an organization.

The Bucs were the joke of the league for 30 years until the hit a home run in one draft.

    Any given draft.

    Packers ain't special.

Stoolers at least have six rings. Hard to argue with that.

I really think the Titans can look damn attractive for a HC that gets some player personnel power in 2015. And with Webster backing Munch, he could be fired as well.

    I'm down.

In the current NFL you ain't winning without an elite or at least good QB.

Look at the teams in the playoffs.

Really only the Chiefs have an average at best QB.

Ron Rivera might be as bad or worse than Munch but was blessed with a couple incredible drafts and a blooming superstar at QB.

Munch would look like a genius right now if we had Luck or Newton.

Agree with this. If Tommy is offering total control over football ops, it will be an attractive job.

Problem with that is that very few men have ever been successful in a coach + GM role. Best arrangement is a strong coach + a strong GM. Checks and balances.
