Auburn Under NCAA Investigation -- What a Shock

Well, I think everyone saw this day coming. Auburn is being investigated for recruiting violations and academic fraud.

The investigation has been overshadowed by how bad the team has been this year and the eventual firing of Gene Chizik. Good news is that Chizik should make out like a bandit. I am sure he will be well compensated to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

I laugh when I read the NCAA is investigating a team, it's just ironic to me. College football is so corrupt why bother..

I find it interesting that they seem to care the most when players are getting paid. Academic fraud, low grad rates, going over on practice time (Rich Rod at Michigan) all seem to take a back seat. But Reggie Bush's parent's get a house and it is the end of the world.

Gotta hold onto that faux amateur label.
