Yea there needs to be a proper balance. The Seahawks O wasn't anything to write home about. They had a great RB, a very consistent and talented QB and WRs that stepped up and made plays. Their D was absolutely solid.

Currently we need to upgrade some positions and they don't all have to be rockstars.

I just looked over the Seahawks defense and

DE Red Bryant - 5th round
    DE Michael Bennett - UDFA
    NT Tony McDaniel - UDFA
DT Brandon Meban - 3rd round
    DE Chris Clemons - UDFA
DE Cliff Avril - 3rd round

    combined 30 sacks in 2013

the trick isn't getting that one great guy, it's find a bunch of good guys, in other words the Seahawks built that defense by playing money ball.

Actually I quoted him. Just forgot to put everything in quotation marks and state his name. Regardless I couldn't care less.

Not to mention that Sherman, Browner, and Chancellor are all 5th rounders or later. They are either incredibly lucky or their scouting department must be out of this universe. What they've done is incredible. It flies in the face of all conventional wisdom when it comes to the draft. We have more 1st and second rounders on our D and we barely compare. It's nuts.

lol says who?! Defense is 10 times more important than a QB. Defense is a whole unit QB is one player. Why does Terry Bradshaw have 4 super bowl rings and Dan Marino none? Defense. Why do Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson have as many super bowls as Peyton Manning? Because defense is more important than QB.

You guys keep crying QB. There are no QB's better than what we already have in the draft. Why blow a draft pick when we can get a top notched defensive players? Someone said we are in a 2-3 year rebuild. A QB can wait till there is one out there who gives us an upgrade and not just another mediocre option.

You won't have a sustained success rate with a lousy QB. The only way to become a dynasty is to have a great to above average QB.

A great Defense will no doubt improve an offense. Look around the league and in history, and you will see. Two words..TRENT DILFER! Now, that is not to say that we don't need a consistent and less injury prone QB (we really do), but lets start with an identity and a Defense that puts the offense in a better position with more opportunities if we can't grab a stud QB.

A great defense will wear out if you don't have an offense that can sustain drives. Gonna get worn out.
