"Some of us", you mean 3 guys?
No. The particular user/poster I was referring to has quite extreme views on CJ. Perhaps you do to, but most posters here don't think CJ is just a horrible player. Sure, many think he's overpaid and has struggled recently, but not many would make the outlandish claims the poster I was responding to does.
I think CJ is the worst RB starting in the NFL today.
Okay. I would disagree with you. Mostly because I believe CJ's only issue is confidence. That can and hopefully will be fixed. It doesn't get fixed overnight though. He will need several games like Thursday night's game to get it back. He's expecting to get lit up as soon as he gets the ball. When that's no longer the case, I think we'll see him run with more explosiveness than he has been. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect him to ever match his explosiveness from 08-09, but he's a far better player than some starting RB's in the NFL imo. You are entitled to your opinion though.
McFadden must be the worst then by your logic since he is playing worse and has a better o-line.
Mcfadden is going through the same thing as CJ right now. The O-Line in Oakland just switched from power blocking to zone blocking, and they are struggling mightily with it. Raiders fans seem to understand this better than Titans fans though. I don't know why? Maybe if he continues to get hit at the line of scrimmage all day every week, the Raiders fans will decide he's horrible. We'll see. For now, his production is disappointing me and hurting my fantasy team! lol
There's seriously 25 better starting RB's than CJ.
Yes, obviously thats MY opinion, but do you really believe he's still a top 10 RB?
I'm not sure to be honest. I believe he has a huge problem working against him in that the whole offense has struggled with the blocking scheme so bad. Once he gets his confidence in the offense back and hits holes as hard as he can and doesn't hesitate, I'll be able to more accurately judge him as a player. Hope what we saw last week continues. If so, I think you'll see a fairly drastic improvement in CJ's production.
