About what I expected in term of money guaranteed and the average amount per year. Pleasantly surprised about the term though - most likely, we get him for his prime years then can allow him to walk when he's on the downside.

I don't think it's that bad.. better than something dumb like 8 years/90 million which would be less annually but looks crazier. AP will likely ask for something in the same neighborhood next year, maybe 5 years/65 mil/35 guaranteed.

Important to note that this is an extension. They added 4 years to the end of his contract. He still had 2 years remaining. He will be a Titan for the next 6 years.

It's not really $13.5 million per year. It seems like, if it is an EXTENSION, then it's actually more around $9 million per year. Which, to me, is much more reasonable.

So what does that do to his salary for the 2 years he still had on his deal? because 53.5 over 4 years works out to about 13.5.
