I dig anime, not as much as a lot of the fanbase, but I like it in general. My favorites are: Berserk - The TV show was fantastic, the three movies are also good, but are the same storyline as the TV show with a lot of stuff missing (but a lot of the adult content intact since... well, movie vs. TV show). I love the manga as well (the TV show/movies only cover the prequel-ish story arc for Berserk, which will probably never be resolved since I suspect the artist/writer will die long before the plot is anywhere near a conclusion, kinda like A Song of Fire and Ice). Cowboy Bebop - Fantastic music and equally fantastic writing. Attack on Titan - Plot kind of drags at times, but overall it's great. Samurai 7 - Great plot and great characters. Akira - Classic. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust - Way better than the first movie, and one of my favorite movies ever. FLCL - Only six episodes but it's nuts and delightful. Ninja Scroll - Great movie. And... that might be the extent of anime that I like and would recommend (I did enjoy Elfen Lied, but I don't think I would necessarily recommend it to anybody since it was a strange mixture weird, brutal, and soul crushingly depressing). Also didn't list Studio Ghibli movies since those go without saying. I'm also digging Akame ga Kill and Parasyte on Adult Swim now, but I came into those midway through so I still have to go back and catch up to form much of an opinion.
