I'm posting this here because it's entirely NFL related - and there are a few posts about QB hit penalties in the Color Rash thread..

I predict there will be some arguing here when this film is released as it is going to be a shot at NFL.

my guess is that the movie will be a bomb.. but as usual, could be very wrong. seems like the premise of a made for TV movie.

Not sure who their target audience for the movie is... that's the problem. Who will shell out 12 dollars to see it? Maybe it's a low budget movie so they can account for the less-than-stellar profits.

It's a marginally interesting topic to sports fans, but it goes against the NFL. May be an intriguing film, but it's a wait-to-see-til-Netflix type of movie.

Sounds like an interesting article or documentary, less so as a big screen event. I'm assuming the NFL will do its best to bury it.. and we all know Fox/NBC/ABC-ESPN/CBS all have strong ties to the NFL, so it's going to get no steam other than word-of-mouth and social media.

I think it is a Will Smith passion project. Won't have big numbers but I think it will resonate more than other recent NFL turkeys like Draft day...
The articles about the movie carry an emotional slant even.
It will be worth checking out IMO..

So is there anyone who is unfamiliar with the story?

Basically Bennet Omalu discovered CTE. The NFL didn't like it. End of story.

Will Smith with that accent... Absolutely awful.

Couldn't pay me to see that crap... Only way it could have any redeeming value is if Goodell is blamed for every single thing imaginable. If they demonize him, at least they did one thing right.

Sounds like one of those movies that could have long legs over the next decade.

Guess I'm in the minority, I think it looks good. That said, won't be paying to see it in theatres.

Yeah. I would watch it if it's free and I have nothing else better to do.im sure it will be quite sensationalized though. Have to make it dramatic.

This movie will be a Lib hit piece on the nfl. Nothing more. The creators will sit around and jack each other off about how meaningful and important the film was while the lion's share of the population ignores it.

Ok, we can end this thread now. That's all that needs to be said about this pap.
