    <font color=blue>PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — David Howard, a Brown University defensive lineman drafted in the spring by the Tennessee Titans, has pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge in Rhode Island.
    Howard was accused in April 2009 of punching and kicking a customer at a bar where he was working as a bouncer. He entered the plea Monday to a charge of simple assault.
    Howard’s lawyer, Mark Smith, said Tuesday that the plea does not constitute a conviction and that the charge will be expunged from Howard’s record if he stays out of trouble for a year.
    Smith says Howard wanted to get the case behind him and move on with his life.
    The Titans selected Howard in the seventh round.</font>
    First time I heard this story. What is it with these millionaires?

    He had to know that everything he does, up to this point, would effect his pro career. If he keeps it up, he never will see any of that money.

    What money he is a 7th rd draft pick who at best will make the practice squad. He already signed his contract with a $45,000 bonus.

    So he already got that.

    A non-issue for a 7th round draft pick. Clean record beforehand and just a misdemeanor. The Titans did their due diligence beforehand.

    As far as I'm concerned he was just doing his job as a bouncer. No big deal anyway, you know the team had to already know about this before he was drafted.
