Probably the only thing Johnson will hit all year.

 

The unemployment line too.

 

This one play pretty much summarizes why I am not excited about this defense.

1. Avery Williamson is the youngest starting LB we have and he is slow as hell.

2. Brice McCain looks like Michael Griffin wearing #33 and just falling off of the guy while trying to tackle him.

3. Rashad Johnson gets thrown five yards into the end zone.

 

In reality we need two new starting ILBs. Williamson is passable, but he shouldn't be a stalwart.

 

If you re-watch the play Williamson is caught looking inside, instead of following gordon as he should....after that mistake he was never, ever going to catch him. Lost that play before the ball was in the air.

 

Wow, we're turning on Avery now? I thought he was a pretty good young player that was trending up...

 

Yeah he was out of position on a few plays, missed tackles on others. He was the highpoint of a very bad defense the past couple of years. I was stoked his rookie year. I hope the past few really bad plays he had is a fluke and he looks more like his rookie form.
