Pretty good news for Tiger fans. Or Yankees haters. Whichever.
Dang the Tigers are wheeling and dealing this offseason. They've already got Edgar Renteria, now they've got Dontrelle AND Miguel Cabrera. Wow. Look the hell out in the AL Central.
Take a look at their line-up & rotation, its ridiculous:
Barring massive injuries, they just bought themselves a World Series victory lap. Eugck.
At least my Nationals are loading up on prospects right now.
On paper the deal looks really good. But technically, Dontrelle was pretty bad. It could be determined that he hurts the team more than helps it. We will need to wait and see, as Dontrelle has flashes, but really, he was not good last year. As far as Cabrera, He is about as good as it gets at the position, but if you are asking the question, will Cabrera win the world series for me, I don't immediately jump up and say yes. He's not going to change games single handedly. He will need help. He's not as visible as say someone like Santana, who can single handedly win a series for you.
As a Tiger fan, it's great, you upgrade everything, and you get better, so you have to do this, but I'm not sure that it pushes them over the top. I still think they need that marqee player who can beat you by himself.
Don't forget about the Sox now, especially with all the trade talk surrounding Santana
with a Rotation of:
that's a Dynasty in the making
Sox are nothing! Nothing! Get out of here with Sox talk. This is the day for Tigers.
sorry man, I'll give y'all your day... enjoy it while you can
come next October, Sox all the way
White sox that is. They will rule the central division..
