I still believe Bud had the sayso on many pics. Wanted to keep his hand in things. Reese may have had some influence, but after raving about Cutler he sure shut up. Many times a HC doesn't get to pick, but tells the GM what his needs are. Up to the GM to pick the right player for that position.

 

Fisher didn't want Goff? He must be pissed not only giving up those picks but giving them up to the Titans lol

The NFL is evolving. TEs have WR Speed & WRs have TE Height. 80% of NFL defenses have safeties playing outside linebacker because they aren't scared of the run, only the pass. Look at Tyraunn Mathieu on the Cardinals who plays every position in the secondary and also plays OLB. Jabrill Peppers doesn't have the Honeybadgers coverage skills but hes faster, stronger, more agile, and has better hands. If he goes outside the top 10 some team just got a steal.
