i have been watching a lot of dvds lately, and i have this buzzing sound that happens when there is a lot of white or brightness on the screen. it's always been there, but it has been really getting on my nerves lately. i have a cheap $30 samsung dvd player that is probably 3 years old. is it just because it's a cheap POS, or is it normal for this to happen?
Can you tell if it's the TV or the DVD player? It is entirely possible that there is an electronic problem in the player, which probably isn't fixable. I don't know what component would be the cause (perhaps capacitors?), but if it's the player buzzing then there probably isn't anything you can do to fix it.
As cheap as DVD players are these days, it's probably not worth it to fix one. I'd just buy a new player.
