The Titans had 591 passes attempted against them, so that's over 17% of the opponents' pass attempts. I don't know how that breaks down against the rest of the defense, but that seems high for a supposed top-tier corner.

And just to get it out there, his 70 completions against was 18.9% of the defense's completions against. Again, I have no how that breaks down against the rest of the defense, but that seems high.

 

From that list I found (IF ACCURATE), a few others that were considered "top CB's" still were thrown at 100 times, but their success rate was quite a bit higher than Finny's.

Im not saying any of this to bash Finny, just pointing out that he isnt a top CB. (defending on what your idea of top is)

 

No get that list outa here, it makes him look weak. I want him back. He generates more than just interceptions and tackles, his game sets the tone. Football is a mental game as well as a physical game.

 

You seem to have the info readily available so do it with Camp Bailey and Jonathan Joesph.

 

Bailey was thrown at 66 times allowing 38 out of 333 completions and 534 attempts against the team. Joseph 64 times allowing 45 out of 279 completions and 538 attempts against the team.

Finny 18.9 (1 int, 11 PDs, 58 tackles)
Bailey 11.4 (2 int, 10 PD's, 35 tackles)
Joseph 22.9 (4 ints, 18 PD's, 42 tackles )

 

I don't know where Alzarius got his info from, otherwise I would. The total pass attempts/completions are on NFL.com.

 

Listen, He basically eliminated A. Johnson in 2010 and made him a none factor in one of the games. If that is not a shut down corner I do not know what is.


Not at all advocating the fight, but he excels in the mental game. And one of the positions who need to have your head in the game is at receiver.

 

To the guys who were arguing with me a couple of months ago about Bailey not being a top corner anymore, read it and weep.

 

He is still good, but he's less than he was.

 

First- I give you props for taking the time to go through, and back up your opinion. Not enough people do that on this board.

But, we have to take into account, when these passes were completed, the situation, how many for scores and first downs and more importantly, how was the pass rush.

Most of those other teams had a much better pass rush as well.
