SUMMARY: Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said before the season that his team would focus on running the football and stopping the run. But after three games, the Titans are only averaging 3.4 yards per rush and only 2.9 yards per carry when you remove runs by Vince Young. They haven't been successful stopping the run either allowing 5.8 yards per attempt to opposing RBs. "We obviously expect drastic improvement over last year in the areas that we’ve identified — the run game on offense, the defense against the run, the scoring production on special teams. We expect to continue to improve," Fisher said. "That’s the thing we talked about all offseason. It’s a long haul and we’re going to improve and improve and improve. I feel like we’ve got a better team right now that we’re putting on the field than last year, with more experience. We’re certainly unsettled in some areas, but we’ll get settled down very quickly."

I'm not optimistic about running the ball or stopping the run...
