I have family that has worked for GM. At the UAW meetings, if you were seen driving a foreign made car, you were called out infront of everybody.

Infact, they have a separate parking lot (a very long walk) for people with foreign cars. If you park in the main lot with a Kia, for example, it will be towed immediately at your expense.

Fact of the matter is.. There is no laws or rules saying you can't support a competitor, and sure, you can't be fired for making a personal choice... but in certain circles there are always unwritten rules. Just like the UAW example, you never parade around in a foreign car because by you driving around in that car... it shows that you don't care about your fellow union members or their job security.

It hurts your own job security, the morale of your fellow workers, and shows that you only care about one person, and that is yourself.

What Jeff Fisher did was incredibly disrespectful to those who have contributed the most to this franchise, his team, the front office, and the city of Nashville. It's even more disrespectful that he hides his antics under the guise of charity and humor.

Is it all of the sudden acceptable to do things that may upset a significant portion of your fan base in the name of charity?

Let's say UAW executives show up to their meetings in a Honda.. For charity of course. You still don't think those UAW members wouldn't be have those execs heads?

I'd appreciate it if the members here would focus on the subject and messages instead of the poster. Personal insults and name-calling are not tolerated.

Hey, I know how Fisher can save face on this. They should auction off the jersey he wore, with proceeds going to the charity, and the winner bidder could burn it at midfield before a Titans game...edit> They could burn it before the COLTS game...

You guys see any of the videos at Titansonline.com referencing Fishers stunt? Kearse and White seemed to not appreciate the move.

Kearse will probably need to go home and discuss the matter with friends and family next Sunday.
