Youre right, but it'd still be a major blow losing him.
There's this weird thing going on where a lot of guys in the NFL media seem to think Cook is this budding superstar who the Titans are holding back. I just don't really see it. His game still has some serious flaws. Aaron Hernandez he is most certainly not. Not even very close to it.
It's funny you say that, cause Jason La Canfora has reported a bunch of bogus stories in the past.
Hernandez is a much more fluid athlete, but he's a weak blocker, thats the connection I'm making.
New England is smart enough not to put him in those positions, we're not. I wish our coaches used Cook to his strengths more.
If Cook had hernandez's elusiveness, he would be literally unstoppable. B/c he has great hands and great size and speed. Idk why we dont just try to create matchups where LB's are guarding him?!?
I agree. Hes a decent WR playing in the TE position.
Maybe fixing the line would help that. If we had some blocking to where we could run while Cook is out there, then he could be utilized as a weapon. 2 years ago we had good pass blocking and Cook had his best season. This year we had to get the running game going so he had to be off the field more.
See this is has ALWAYS been a popular question for Titans coaches since coming to TN.
They always seem to want their players to contour to what they want, but for once we're finally hearing them say they're going to devise a plan that fits the players strengths.
Why did this take 12+ years to hear?
But we have tons of cap money, right?!!?!?!?
6 million of it gone right there.
If they address the O-Line the way they should, the rest is kind of easy.
