Cuban I am neutral on. He is not fake like Gooddell but he is a media attention whore.

Great job reading my post and finding the part where I said I like Goodell and approve of the job he's doing. I definitely said it in there and your eagle eyes certainly didn't miss the part where I definitely said that.

Point is, something is being done. He just happened to be the guy in there when the safety issues starting becoming a big deal.

No one cared about their safety. Not many of us knew about the long term effects on players until the past decade.

Sorry if I don't get the same feel good feelings you do.

They're not doing this because its the right thing to do. They're doing this because it is affecting their bottom line.

Forgive me of I don't think they deserve a humanitarian award.

I was a big fan of Cuban until he dogged people with advanced degree's as if their degrees are worth nothing.

I don't even have that much of a problem with what he was saying as how dismissive he was that no one could possibly benefit from advanced education. Made him seem somehow jealous and pathetic and I thought he was above all that stuff.

Of course its about $$$$. You dont think they are in the business for any other reason do you?

Not sure what you read that made you think he gave me a "good feeling", but whatever lol...

And if you dont like RG because of the safety issue, then I do assume you dislike every other commissioner that we have had in the past too, cause they didnt do anything.

Not giving him a humanitarian award, and not even a fan of RG. His job, is to make $$$. He has been, and I believe will continue to be doing so.

My point about the safety of players, is that no one has or will give a damn. Never have, never will. However NOW its become an issue and people are looking at it closer and closer. RG just happened to be the guy in office when it became an issue and is reacting like anyone else would. Not saying he is doing anything special by any means.

However, his actions as the commissioner is "protecting the shield" of the NFL as he put it and protecting the integrity of the game and making it safer.

Sadly, the people who whine and cry about him tend to lean towards the "making the NFL go to flag football" rather than what he has done to "protect the integrity of the game." (see spygate) See that, I can get behind and say "hey man, WTF are you doing" Then again, with suspensions, no one can deny he is trying to clean up the image of the NFL (when it comes to PLAYERS)

Honestly, I just think everyone needs to ***** and complain about something and RG doenst have many, if any fans. To hear he is making THAT much money will cause resentment from most people in the first place, much less someone who is "in charge" of their biggest hobby.

We all love football, theres nothing like it....... for me at least. When someone gets a job that is the face of a 6-9 billion dollar a year corporation (well at least how much money the NFL generates every year), making 30 million does not surprise me at all and it doesnt phase me.

David Stern (NBA) made 23 million in 2010 (estimated)
RG made 10 million in 2010
Bud Selig (Baseball) makes 18 million

NFL generates more money than NBA and Baseball so to me.... it just seems logical. Im not some huge fan, but it doesnt phase me at all how much he makes.
