I'm considering buying a tablet, dont need it to do anything but for displaying games on to my TV. Surprisingly neither of my two laptops have HDMI and using RCA cords just doesn't do it for me, so that leaves me in need of a tablet.

I went on ebay and saw some really affordable ones called Google Android Tablets, anbody know if these things are worth buying? Im not up to date on tablet news.

I am not big on tablets, but I hear the new Nexus tablets are the new 'big thing' right now.

Go with Googles Nexus tablets or Samsungs. Those two are the best bet as far as tablets go.

Oh and WTF is Android doing naming their OS Ice cream sandwich and jellybean?

Who are they making these for, little kids?

Android's thing is naming their OS after candy/sweets.

I just looked at that Nexus thing, and it doesn't have a HDMI port, thats huge for me since this is solely being bought to display on my TV

I would've said Nexus 7, but the old one does not support HDMI (no MHL) and I'm not sure about the new one.
The Nexus 10 does have HDMI capabilities.

There's also the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1", I think it's a bit cheaper. Unfortunately the 7.0 model doesn't do HDMI.
