I will go to my grave not understanding why the Titans gave Griffin a long-term deal instead of making him play out the year under the franchise tag and prove himself.

    Money and potential are why.

if you franchise him last year, next year he's worth $13M.

I wasn't even paying attention to who blew that coverage when it happened. I said out loud "who the hell just did that?" Then I said "Oh wait... obviously had to be Griffin."

It's alright guys... he's getting paid Ed Reed/Troy Polamalu money. He's as good as them.

What? That makes absolutely no sense. If the Titans had him playing under the franchise tag this year (like they should have), they would realize that he's not worth 50 cents and let him walk after this season.

Firstly, it made no sense not to tag Finnegan.

Secondly, it made no sense to tag Griffin.

Thirdly, if you absolutely must tag Griffin for whatever reason, it made no sense to tag him and then sign him long-term.

And this isn't me speaking in hindsight... I, along with almost all of us, was saying the exact same things the minute I heard the absurd news of the franchise tag and the absurd news of the long-term deal.

Griffin must go at all costs. I don't care how much it cost to get rid of him, he's negative value for this team.

That's exactly what I've been saying.

I'm sure his buyout is $10mil or more... but it's worth it. I'd gladly go up to that dick (if I were Bud and actually had more than 13 bucks) and tell him he sucks so much that we are paying him $10mil not to play for us.

First, i'd be calling every team in the league and offering Griffin for a 7th rounder. Somebody would hopefully bite, maybe Dan Snyder or the idiot Raiders..? :drunk:

When I went to training camp, I swear he looked arrogant as can be. He had a cut off shirt and went half a$$ on every single play. He just sat there majority of the time with his dreads and didn't give a d@mn.

It is time to just give him his money and really cut ties with him.

If this punk is still on this team next year, this will tell me the direction we are going.
