I wouldn't consider it a pity ring, he did after all play very well at the start of the season and is a good reason why they made it so far. It would just be hard for me to want to play in the big game after like you said.

Well to me, his benching would drive me crazy... Everyone knows he is a low ceiling guy but he wasn't screwing up. If they win the SB he will always look at it in a different light. It will never be the great happy moment you want to remember. It'll always be tainted with him getting screwed outta his starting spot after proving his worth.

I didn't really like him coming out of college, but I hope he gets onto a team and does really well there. I really feel bad for everything he went through.
