I'd be no help...I didn't go to high school here. My landlord's brother was a troublemaker who was an anti-haole racist...which was stupid because he was haole himself. He was the Hawaiian version of what you would call a "wigger".

Though some locals are under the impression that us honkies came and took everything, that's not very accurate. Prince Kuhio ga e everyone a chance to claim their lands and legacies before enacting the Great Mahele but people goofed off and lost their lands because of it. Then Portuguese dudes were brought in to be the foremen on the sugar and pineapple plantations...they were white and not very well liked. Most of what is Hwaiian pidgin came from these guys who were trying to blend all the languages enough to be understood by everyone. Lots of people think it sounds stupid but that's because it's built on the Hawaiian language structure...and Hawaiian has no form of "to be".
Later, Californian a-holes would come here trying to turn Hawaii into California. Those people most certainly deserve Kill Haole Day. All they do is piss people off.
