Hard to believe but he is averaging just 7.3 ypc and 4.2 ypc are yac. That means he is on average just 3 yards down field with each catch! There can't be another WR with a stat like that.

I know we are running a lot of WR screens, maybe too many and that is a byproduct of our poor running game. Why get zero yards handing it to CJ when we can screen it to a WR and get 4.

Not trying to be unkind but they have forced fed Wright the football and he is starting when maybe a more experienced guy should be. What does he do that Williams or Hawkins can't?

I know he is a rookie but my God the 20th pick needs to be a guy who can make plays down the field not just catch dink passes and screens. .

if his fumble had happened later on in the game, he very well could have been the goat Sunday. Gotta hold on!

I'm glad you admit you go by the stats.

But if you watch him, he's always open, why not throw to the open guy? He leads the team in catches and 1st downs.

I have no problem with Wright's stats or how he is playing. How many rookie WRs do anything? Besides, he is going to be playing more slot with Britt back which is perfect for him.
He is on pace for 75 catches and surely his YPC will go up some and he will bust a few. Williams can back up Britt and Washington on the outside and will get planety of snaps. Hawkins wasn't even active last game.

Not really concerned with Wright. He's been catching most passes he's been targeted. I do understand why others would, him being known as a YAC guy.
