I agree. But I was talking about 1st round picks.
33 R. Yards
That's what I see coming from Locker.
..pair that up with 120 yards/1 TD from CJ & we're winning 27-13.
I think you hit the nail on the head with that last sentence. It's not so much about any magical number (although < 200 yards isn't going to cut it most weeks). But he just needs to LOOK like a franchise QB more than once or twice throughout the course of the game. And he sure as hell can't be throwing easy game-clinching passes 10 feet over the receiver's head.
If I had to say numbers though, I'd probably agree with your 250+ and 2+ TDs. That would give me some hope. But if we're being honest 250 yards is still kinda weak at home against a defense that's allowing a league-worst 370 passing ypg.
You've gotta be able to throw the ball in this league. You just gotta. Our defense isn't going to be able to carry us week in and week out. And that 3.1 rushing average isn't doing us any favors either.
You think 200 passing yards against the last ranked pass D in the league is going to get people off his back? I don't.
I care more about YPA and Comp%.
I said break 200, not get to 200
Which he also sucks at.
So 205 then? 210? Not much difference at the end of the day. 26 QBs are averaging over 220 per game. Our guy is dead last in ypg (yes, he's even behind Chad Henne who only had 3 completions in week 1).
Honestly though, there's probably not a lot he can do in one single game to get people off his back completely. He's going to have to string together a few good ones in a row and also prove that he can do it against good defenses before I become a believer.
