I totally agree with this. I can totally give you credit for making a good read on talent or lack there of, but you need to fair and balanced. If you can't admit when you missed one, no one will respect anything you say. Humility goes a long way with people . . . best trait a person can have I think.

 

But guys... he's never been wrong.

 

My guess is there are quite a few posts saying negative things about Hayes as well. Considering both those guys came from small school programs and thus had a bigger jump in competition to deal with I see two very solid DL players for the future.

That's not true, I've seen him many times lose contain and let a bootlegging QB run free.:grrhee:

 

Although I'm sure many people were negative about the player, I think a lot of people were more negative about the draft pick trade.

No matter how the player turns out, it doesn't make sense to trade up in the draft if that player was going to be available later. I know there is some argument that Hayes wouldn't be there, but I still have a lot of doubt in the rebuttal.

 

We know based on what one or two other GMs have said that he would not have been there later...
