for 1/2 of a game lol ...
I think the kid is a total douche.
But I don't think he should be suspended for one second... just don't see the big deal with what he did. Idk why he felt compelled to do it since he comes from a family of millionaires and has millions coming his way in the NFL - bust or not.
I think some college athletes should be able to make money from playing. Why not? They're bringing in loads of revenue for the schools. Is it fair that they don't see a dime of that extra money? They're the sole purpose for the extra revenue, so why not give them a percentage?
Whether you think he should or shouldn't be able to be paid is one thing, but the fact of the matter is he can't and more than likely broke the rule.
Fortunately for him and Cam Newton the NCAA is like Barney Fife. If you do it in cash and are willing to lie you'll get away with it because the NCAA doesn't have any subpoena power.
seems I recall some states have mirrored some NCAA recruiting rules into state law, so evil agents can be jailed for giving players 'loans'. But yea NCAA generally has no way too get info without corroperation from the entities are investigating
Since I hate all things Aggie, I'm hoping for sanctions.
That'll learn him
Man! Take it easy on him, NCAA! He's just a kid. Don't you think 1/2 game is a little rough? He will never recover.
The NCAA is a joke.
Yup, thats been my opinion of the NCAA for a loong time.
Oh well, Little Johnny wont be stuck there for too much longer, he'll either be in the NFL soon or dead.
They say there isn't evidence that he got paid, yet he signs thousands of autographs for an autograph dealer. Guess he did that out of the goodness of his heart.
He still will suffer a punishment. He now has to face Alabama.
