Latest rumor is that Gruden is a no, Dooley gone after or before Kentucky and Fisher coming to UT.
I actually heard a rumor last night that Fisher is unhappy in St Louis and may become Auburn's next HC. This from people living in Auburn, apparently it is the rumor going around down there.
Nothing you just said makes me happy. Dooley has got to go now he has disgraced our program long enough and doesn't deserve to wear the ORANGE. Fisher would be a terrible hire, not because I think he is a bad coach because I don't think he is that bad, but outside of Tennessee who knows him, I think he wouldn't be that great a recruiter. GRUDEN or bust!!!!
In fact let's have a buyout Dooley tell-a-thon. Surely we as fans could raise enough to buy him out and send his gimp ass on down the road.
Fisher and Gruden eh............................................
Dooley cant play defense.
the Vols need 50+ points a game just to win cause of the poor defense.
a new coach wont fix anything any time soon.
Or Dooley could've used the 2 timeouts with 40 seconds to go and only 40 yards to get in easy FG range. But he sucks.
How anyone can still defend him or make excuses for him is beyond me.
Lot of rumors flying around that Dooley is gone now
Outside of TN people don't now Fisher? No way I see Fisher coaching TN but he would be about as high profile as TN could find. I guess since Guden is an announcer as well as a former coach that would get the stud athletes all over the country wanting to play in TN?
What TN needs to do is NOT hire Gruden or Fisher but find the best smaller school coach who has proven he can get it done. Find another Brian Kelly who is a proven college coach but want to move up to a bigger school and conference. Were do guys like Les Miles or Nick Saban? Saban came via Toledo and Michigan State before LSU. Miles was at Ok State before LSU. Urban Meyer was at Bowling Green an Utah before going to Florida. The solution is not to breing in former NFL coach with little or no HC expereince with college players and recruiting.
Now some may say that is how Dooley got hired. But Dooley wasn't a proven coach in college. He was HC for three years and had a 17-20 overall record. Urban Meyer by comparison was 17-6 at Bowling Green and 22-2 at Utah.
Yes Gruden would get the stud athletes all over the country wanting to play in TN without even trying.
