And then it's magical fairy land where the Titans win the next 50 straight superbowls with 20-0 records and 50-0 defeats in every game.

I am about the furthest thing from an optimistic fan that you will find.

Captain Porn 'Stache didn't make the playoffs until his 5th full season he started with a 7- 9 record followed by 3 consecutive 8-8 seasons ..so barring a 0-16 season it wouldn't surprise me to see Munchak back in 2014.

So... you want to keep Munch if they go 6-10 again?

    League is different now.
Stache overstayed his welcome by a long shot.
The league will never see another coach stay that long without a championship. The days of Fisher and Reid are gone.

You got three to four years to get something done. If not, you are out.

Bud Adams does not have a lot of time left in this world. If he wants to hold a trophy before he takes a dirt nap, Munch will be gone. Playoffs or the unemployment line.
The next guy they get might be just as bad or worse...

You are 100% correct the league has changed (for the better)but this team and Bud"Monty Burns" Adams have not . He will continue to value loyalty over quality at every opportunity..While allowing his employees to do the same, and believe it is the best way to win championships ,he has believed that for 50 years.Nothing is going to change his mind, not while he is still alive and owner of the Titans.

You are going to be so excited next January when we have a new Head Coach and you don't even know who that coach is going to be. For all you know the next coach could lead us to 2-14, 1-15, 3-13 seasons. But at least you will be excited again in January 2014! Yay for you.

Personally I'm excited for free agency and the draft to see what new players will be around regardless of Munch. And a playoff or bust season where all the players and coaches know the stakes.

Everyone gets excited when a new coach comes in. Forgive them for wanting the punishment to (possibly) be over.

You are right though. There is always the danger that the next guy could be even worse. Ask the Vols about that.
