Physically, Titans receiver Kendall Wright is just fine.

When he showed up for training camp after reaching a four-year, $8.2 million deal with the team, he was cleared by trainers to begin practicing. Wright didn’t take part in the team’s June minicamp because of a shoulder strain.

“Maybe 2-3 weeks my shoulder was hurting,’’ Wright said. “But my shoulder is good.”

Now, the first round pick has to get up to speed.

Wright took part in the team’s walk-through on Thursday morning, but he’ll be limited in practices Thursday night and Friday because of CBA rules. He’ll practice in pads for the first time on Saturday.

He knows the expectations are high. Some of his teammates even called him during his four-day absence and asked when he’d report.

“I am just going to do what the team drafted me to do, and that is to come play receiver and come make plays,’’ he said. “I don’t think there’s a lot of pressure on me, though I know some might. I am just out here learning and what I have to do to get ready for the season.”

Wright said he could play two receiver positions if the season started this weekend, and he’s learning new wrinkles that were put into the offense recently. Soon, he’ll feel comfortable at three spots.

During the break, Wright worked with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, his former teammate with the Redskins. He also ran routes with Redskins receivers Pierre Garcon, Santana Moss and Josh Morgan.

“I got to run routes with some of those guys,’’ Wright said. “We were just working, working hard. I was just out there trying to get better.”

Wish him and Steve Smith would get together and teach the rook some tricks of the trade. K-Wright looks like Steve Smith and Lil Webbie had a kid

Kendall is the worst when it comes to interviews. Great kid, but like you said, he doesn't elaborate at all.
