Harper's last year with us was unforgettably bad, but at least management recognized he was past his prime and sent him to pasture. I wish we'd send Griffin somewhere, anywhere really.

There is however a 1% chance he has a good season this year since he's not the main guy we look to for plays. He'll get to prance around freely now with the wind blowing thru his hair like he likes. Maybe that'll allow him to not look like a giant puss.

NO NOT BROWN PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOT BROWN.

He played great in 07, 08, and 11. If he can return to that form, he'll be a good safety. I doubt it though.. he's turned into a puss. Exact opposite of Pollard.

Anyone on that 2008 starting defense gets a pass.. I don't care what they did.. They get a pass. :biggrin2:

Anyone think MG could have a good season with Pollard fueling him? I think it's at least a distant possibility lol.

The thing with Griffin is he's athletic, but not tough enough to be a leader. If he's your 3rd best defender, he can be really good. It's just when he's asked to lead that he slips and looks bad.

When Chris Hope was bullying guys, Griffin was good, same thing can happen with Pollard killing guys. Griffin gets to sit back and wait for things to come to him, he doesn't have to attack. Thats who he is.

Reynaldo Hill and Calvin Lowry were worse.

I don't know man. I remember some horrendous plays from Thompson. I know Hill and Lowry were bad but I believe I got more frustrated over Fisher leaving Thompson in and not letting superior talent have a chance.
