NFL players should not be punished during the lockout. If they're not getting paid and are literally locked out of their jobs, the league shouldn't meddle in their personal lives.

They can say whatever they want, but legally it is a different story.

The league isn't sending players to jail. They would be suspending/fining players. I doubt the work stoppage/ union desertification will hamper these powers.

players only get game checks and signing bonuses. They normally don't get paid for at least 6 months a year.

Labor laws are a bit sticky. Technically, they might no longer be considered employees of the NFL. Attempts to enforce corporate policy on events occurring outside of their employment periods could be considered as discrimination. It just depends if there has been some sort of precedent.

I think the "protect the shield" is BS. There hasn't been a significant, if any, reduction in arrests among NFL players since Goodell began his arbitrary enforcement. It is all just a horse and pony show to keep a vocal component of the public quiet. It is really about "protecting the revenue stream". It is not really at attempt at higher ideals as promoted. (I also think the fan conduct policy and its method of enforcement is total BS also.)

We need to get a vet that can have an impact on Britts life. He has a ton of talent, just needs to get his act together and stay out of Jersey. It's going to be sad if he puts his talent to waste.. wake up dude.

There are already two vets on the WR unit so adding someone else just to influence Kenny isn't the answer.

Kenny is responsible for Kenny so, yes, he needs to wake up.

I actually recommended Plaxico. He'd be cheap and he's learned the hard way what can happen when you make a mistake. He'd also add some nice depth to the lineup and give us some height around the goal line and in the slot.

He wont listen to anyone, he's a stubborn guy. He had Randy Moss, Rod Smith and others show him the ropes, and he chose not to listen. He'll find his way however, but only because what he doesn't know he makes up for with freak-like athleticism.
