Okay, but we would have to spend a high pick on him. I don't think it's very wise to risk a pick that high on someone who doesn't know how to tackle. We already have safeties who can't tackle or cover. We don't need another one. I'm just looking for stability at S at this point.

He'll be taught to wrap up better but he's a good player and would have no problem spending a 2nd round pick on. I've seen 5 or 6 UF games this season and he's been impressive in just about all of them, tonight wasn't a great game for him but he's a big time hitter and plays pretty well in coverage.

Just like Griffin was taught to tackle, right? We don't have the coaching to fix the players that we already have. We're so bad off at safety right now that we can't afford to take a risk on a player like Elam.

I really like Eric Reid or Kenny vaccaro. Reid we can get in the 2nd but vaccaro is late 1st. Hopefully he falls.

Could you see it last year when we took a receiver in the first with great oline and d line picks available?

I wasn't shocked if that's what you are asking, if we do it again this year I'm going to flip out wherever I'm watching the draft.

I saw some sites have us going WR and even started 1 or 2 threads about going WR in the 1st so I understood the reasoning, only way we don't go OL in one of the top 2 rounds is if someone drops that they like and a SS/DL they really like in the 2nd. Other than that, I'll be upset when it's all said and done. Unless we address it in free agency, but let's face it we hardly ever do.

I want Elam, he would be great at 39, but he'll be gone by then.

How's his brother in coverage? I don't watch Chiefs games if I can help it.

    No idea about his brother.

Elam is just a run enforcer tho. Very possible he is still there... I would take a few Safeties before him.
