    Muhammad Wilkerson - New York Jets - 2016 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

    One of the top 3-4 DEs in the game. I think he would be a huge addition if we traded for him. Obviously part of a trade would have to include reworking his contract.

    Jets pick 20th overall. Would you trade our #1 for Wilkerson and Jets #1 (20th)? That would be tough for me. I would definitely do it for Wilkerson, 20th overall, and Jets 2nd round pick though.

    I'd probs do Wilkerson+20 for our 1st overall. There isn't anyone at #1 that you MUST take so why stay there and take someone who might not pan out. Plus Casey and Wilkerson on the same line together would just be filthy imo

    If he were a straight up FA then I'd certainly want to look at him, but trading picks and paying him a huge salary would not be prudent if you ask me. Unless you were able to get the Jets to give up their 2nd and 3rd this yr and next yrs 1st. This would allow the Jets to draft their future QB with the 1st pick.

    I'm really high on Daquan Jones. I also want an impact player from the draft and I think the chances of getting that is much lower at 20.

    I'm more worried about finding a NT than I am another DE. Once free agency starts we won't have one on the roster. Al Woods and Sammie Hill both have one foot out the door right now.

    While he's a great player, I'd need more than him and number twenty.

    And who says he'd even be willing to renegotiate his contract? Especially to come to this dumpster fire?

    Well then the trade would be dead. Part of the trade would require a longterm agreed up on contract. That's how practically all trades work when a player is on the last year of a deal.
