    I'd be okay with Orton if we can't get Hasselbeck and I don't mind giving up a couple picks as long the price isn't too high. Only problem I have with Orton is those comments he made after last year's game.

    I really don't understand it. They are not gaining anything by forcing his retirement except pride. They just drafted a QB and WR in the first 2 rounds, get some more future draft picks to help build the team.

    I am not sure about now with the new CBA, but with the old CBA Palmer would have to return any bounus $$$s for years not played and Cincinnati could use that money for CAP if they choose.

    I haven't a clue if that system still stands.

    Detroit got plenty of extra CAP $$$s from 'stinky' after his sudden retirement. Didn't do them much good though.
