Nope. Not really.
He followed fitz here. Guess since fitz sucks here too he is headed back
If not, the league would consist of the same x amount of players and x amount of coaches.
I think an argument can be made that most teams probably overpay for free agents and most probably let their free agents go at the right time. Because when you consider what the good player will get paid as a free agent it is hard for performance to live up to that.
Was that even discussed in the post or did I just pull that out of nowhere?
First 5 years as Titans: 4 playoff appearances, 1 superbowl loss, 5-4 playoff record.
Next 5 years as Titans: 2 playoff appearances. 0-2 playoff record.
Most recent 5 years as Titans: 0 playoff appearances.
Horrible. Looks so horrible typed out like that too. And this is all coinciding with the Vols worst stretch in 100 years.
Players, sure. But I really don't think you can say that most other teams' HC, OC and DC would not hold those same positions if it weren't for their current employer.
No that wasn't really discussed. I was talking about how we tend to employ so many players/coaches/execs who would otherwise not be employed. Specifically how Munch, Lowgains and Gray would not hold their same positions if/when they were fired by the Titans. Gunny disagreed and said "you could say that about every other team".
Yeah you can't say that about EVERY team. Maybe some.
I know that Bears coaching hire was a real shocker. Done pretty well so far, think they are at 4th in the league in points.
