OMFG. THE 13TH.

The "Caribbean" description is somewhat misleading. This place is Cuban.
That Calypso place in Nashville is disgusting compared to Pollo..

They get the black beans and rice right, as well as the Cuban pork (man oh man, juicy pulled Cuban pork - squeeze a fresh lime and some hot sauce over it)..
Once you have a Pollo yucca fry you'll never want another French fry ever.
You gotta ask for Yucca in TN - for some reason it's kinda hidden on the menu..

Best part though is that they split whole chickens and cook them over a hot grill the way you would at home. In fact, I usually get a whole chicken or a half and plop it on the the grill when I get home which crisps it up in a matter of moments..

Tropi-chops are a dish with black beans, rice and topped with grilled chicken, pork etc.
They do flan, sangria, plantains etc..

For JC I read that they are going to be moving into the NJ/NY/CT area soon as well..
This place will go over in Spanish Harlem..

Don't mistake today's op-culture buzz for what Florida is entirely about - which is old people communities and thugs..
